Teresa Preston is
the owner of EHS

graduating in the
first class of females
at the US
Merchant Marine
Academy, she
spent the first
eleven years of
her career as an
oceangoing ship’s
officer on coastal tankers where environmental
compliance was an everyday part of the job.
She then worked in both government and private
industry until starting her own company.
She has extensive experience in Environmental Management, Pollution Prevention, RCRA site closures, Safety and Health Compliance and Training, and integration of EHS and Lean Manufacturing.
She was appointed by the Secretary of Labor to the national Maritime Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health three times to represent shipyard management, and was instrumental in developing the OSHA Maritime Outreach training courses.
She has presented twice at the National Safety Congress and has presented several civic and industry speeches and papers on environmental stewardship and shipyard safety.
